Mr. Eccker has had success on all levels of technology and digital media, having founded and managed, or consulted many successful companies in these industries. Companies he has worked with include Avid Sports, The National Information Consortium, D Square Communications, Bird Dog Solutions, XOS Digital, and many others. Randy is actively consulting with The Echo System management team, helping to develop and implement their strategic plans and execute the company’s financing activities.
Michael is the Co-Founder of GSV Asset Management and GSV Advisors, and Chief Portfolio Manager for the GSV X Fund, a long-short global macro equity hedge fund and the CEO of GSV Capital, a publicly traded closed-end fund that invests in leading VC backed private companies. He has over 25 years of investment experience and previously co-founded and was CEO of ThinkEquity Partners, a growth focused investment bank. Prior to that, Mr. Moe was Head of Global Growth Research at Merrill Lynch and before that he was Head of Growth Research and Strategy at Montgomery Securities. Mr. Moe has been named to Institutional Investor’s “All American” research team and has been awarded “Best on the Street” by The Wall Street Journal. Additionally, he has been called one of the best stock pickers in the country by Business Week magazine. He has testified in front of the U.S. Congress on the subjects of education technology, the new economy and initial public offerings, and he has also appeared before the President’s Information Technology Advisory Committee. He is on the Advisory Board of Institutional Venture Partners (IVP), a member of the Board of Directors for the Center for Education Reform and on the National Leadership Council for Communities in Schools.
Lance is founder and CEO of The Echo System, a social commerce optimization platform that bridges the gap between the web and the social web, and empowers businesses with the social data and tools necessary to maximize their return on social. Lance’s expertise in strategy development and his keen understanding of the digital landscape have quickly helped to establish his reputation as a pioneer in the digital space. He regularly contributes insights and opinion through industry panels, television interviews, and published essays. Prior to The Echo System, Lance served as EVP, U.S. Director of Digital at PHD, where he oversaw the strategic planning and investment of nearly $400 million in digital media. Prior to PHD, Lance was co-founder and Executive Vice President of Strategy for the search-marketing agency Resolution Media. He was part of the team that took Resolution Media from start-up, through the sale to Omnicom, and ultimately to a $250 million+ agency. Prior to Resolution Media, Lance worked in a series of strategy and development roles across various digital disciplines including web development, telecommunications, and database marketing. Lance also served as an adjunct professor at The Stuart Graduate School of Business. He taught Communication Strategies in a Digital Environment. Lance holds a BS in Advertising from the University of Illinois and an MBA with honors in e-Business from DePaul University.
